About the Opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager to join the Open Space and Landscape Design Team. As our new Project Manager you will liaise across a range of council services to support the delivery of the Open Space Team’s Program.

This is an excellent opportunity to lead the delivery of a significant number of projects in the open space and community infrastructure space. Projects will include construction of our regional playspace upgrades and masterplan implementation works.

This is a full time permanent role based at our Civic Centre however we can offer a range of flexible work options for the right candidate.


This is a Band 7 classified role; remuneration will be $100,461.07 - $112,669.68 (depending on experience) plus superannuation in accordance with the Superannuation Guarantee.

What you will need to thrive

In order to be thrive in this position you will have:

  • Demonstrated commitment to displaying the organisation’s values.
  • Ability to analyse problems and make informed decisions on a day to day basis.
  • Demonstrated skills in financial and budget management.
  • Strong organisational and process documentation skills.
  • Ability to develop project briefs, undertake feasibility studies, oversee and drive the development of concept plans and detailed designs.
  • Ability to manage landscape architects and other specialist consultants on a day to day basis without supervision.
  • Ability to supervise contractors for landscape and civil works, ensuring projects are delivered within budget, quality and time constraints.
  • Strong contract management skills.
  • Strong consultation and liaison skills including the ability to consult with the public, key stakeholders and various external providers.
  • Written communication skills in the preparation of reports, correspondence and contract documents.
