Your new role

The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with members of the community to keep them socially connected, and will bring a wealth of experience in coordinating and promoting community programs, projects and events with a talent for building relationships and strong networks. Key programs and events include the Annual Knox Seniors Festival, Zest4Life Program and driving the Bright Ideas Network.

This is a full time permanent role based at our Civic Centre however we can offer a range of flexible work options for the right candidate.

This is a Band 6 classified role, remuneration will be $87,738 to $97,452 plus superannuation in accordance with the Superannuation Guarantee.

What you will need to thrive

The key selection criteria for this role are:

  • Demonstrated understanding of social support needs of older people, people with disabilities and those who are socially isolated, including people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to network and develop strong ongoing relationships and to communicate with influence in the public arena.
  • Ability to successfully manage competing priorities and tasks and meet deadlines
  • Demonstrated experience in coordinating events, projects and community programs
