Your new role

Knox City Council is currently recruiting for an IT Project Manager to join our IT Project Delivery team on a fixed term basis for a 2-year contract.

We are seeking an experienced IT Project manager who has successfully led and delivered IT projects. The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate critical thinking, thought leadership and problem solving. They will also be able to confidently collaborate with business stakeholders and system vendors to deliver high quality solutions for the organisation.

We run a successful IT delivery program, having established trust with our governance bodies and key stakeholders, and delivering benefits to our customers and staff.

We provide development support on the job, training opportunities in line with your development plan and opportunities to network and develop through the Local Government Association.

Knox City Council Civic Centre is located in Wantirna South, however, we do offer flexible working options for the right candidates.

This is a full time or part time Band 7 classified role, remuneration will be $107,508 - $120,572 (depending on experience) plus superannuation in accordance with the Superannuation Guarantee. Part time arrangements (0.8 FTE/4 days per week) will be considered for the right candidate.

What you will need to thrive

The key selection criteria for this role are:

  •  Demonstrated end to end project management experience across a multi-functional business.
  • Exceptional verbal and report writing skills, including procedures documentation and presentation experience.
  • Proven ability to motivate and influence an environment that fosters the use of technological advancement to meet business value and customer needs.
  • As a valued member of the team, you will contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration with a united teamwork approach to service development, problem solving and project delivery.
  • Demonstrated ability in driving customer focused excellence by working in collaboration with customers and taking responsibility to meet customer needs.
