About the role
Knox City Council is seeking an exceptional Organisational Development Lead to join our dynamic People, Culture and Development team. This pivotal role offers an exciting opportunity to take lead and shape the future of our workforce, you will be at the forefront of driving positive change and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Your strategic insights and expertise will be key in developing and delivering the Organisational Development Plan and other key initiatives that promote employee engagement, talent management, learning and development, culture, diversity and inclusion while aligning to our overarching Organisation Strategy.
Reporting into the Chief People Officer and leading a team, you will work closely with key stakeholders to inspire, develop, and lead others towards achieving organisational objectives, while promoting a collaborative culture to ensure the workforce is equipped for future challenges and contribute to the effective service delivery for Council.

This is a full time permanent role based at the Civic Centre, Wantirna South. We support flexible working arrangements while ensuring operational needs of the role are met.
This is a Senior Executive Officer role, remuneration will be negotiated depending on experience.
What you will bring to this role
The key selection criteria for this role are:
- Extensive experience and knowledge of Organisational Development practices, strategies, frameworks, and programs.
- Ability to develop, align and execute strategic plans ensuring alignment with organisational goals and priorities.
- Strong experience in design thinking, innovation, and influencing senior leaders to foster a culture of inclusion, growth, and excellence.
- Demonstrated ability to lead integrated Organisational Development and Human Resources functions that evolve culture, improve performance, and drive successful organisational change
- Extensive experience in implementing effective Learning and Development programs, cultural initiatives and workforce planning initiatives.
- Expertise in adult learning, including digital, social and professional learning methodologies.
- Strong people leadership skills, with proven ability to motivate, coach, mentor and develop others, fostering a culture of engagement and collaboration.
- Strong advocate for change management, ensuring change is effectively supported while considering organisational impacts
- Continuous improvement mindset, with a focus on enhancing processes, services, and outcomes.
- Demonstrated skills in adaptability, resilience, and emotional intelligence, with the ability to navigate complexity and ambiguity.
- Strong financial acumen with excellent organisational, decision-making and negotiation skills, and demonstrated ability to balance competing priorities to deliver high-quality outcomes within a complex and diverse organisation.
