About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Function Support - Casual to join our Civic Centre Operations Team in providing quality customer service through operational duties across the Civic Centre Function Rooms and Council site. We're seeking a flexible and reliable team member who is available to work varying shifts across weekdays and some weekends, including mornings, afternoons, and evenings, as required.
Reporting directly to the Head of Civic Centre Operations, you will provide operational support at the Civic Centre to ensure the success of meetings, conferences, event activities, and community bookings. You will demonstrate proactive communication skills and exhibit strong attention to detail in tight timeframes.
This is a casual role primarily based at our Civic Centre Located in Wantirna South.
This is a Band 3 classified role, remuneration will be $41.78 - $44.61 gross per hour depending on experience (inclusive of 25% casual loading in lieu of annual leave, personal leave & public holidays) In addition, you will receive superannuation in accordance with the Superannuation Guarantee.
What you will bring to this role
The key selection criteria for this role are:
- Good interpersonal and verbal communication skills
- Ability to collaborate in a team and follow direction
- Ability to occasionally work independently on tasks
- Physically able to move furniture, bend, and use stairs as required
- Ability to set up and operate basic AV equipment (e.g., projectors, laptops, microphones, screens)
- Ability to make sound judgement and decisions within agreed processes.
