About the role 

As part of delivering our new technology strategy, Knox City Council is currently recruiting for a Technical Solution Analyst to join our Enterprise Architecture team. Reporting into the Head of Enterprise Architecture, you will be responsible for designing and supporting the delivery of key technology initiatives that will enable our customer and community strategies whilst enhancing the resiliency of our systems.

As part of your role, you will be required to:

  • Support solution architects in setting the strategic technology direction, including introducing best practice approaches that can be delivered in line with the Council plan to ensure future scope alignment.
  • Perform technical analysis components within projects to meet organisational requirements.
  • Analyse, synthesise and evaluate technical requirements, recognising patterns and contribute to the creation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of high-quality technical documentation about KCC core systems.
  • Take ownership of documenting solution designs, integration patterns, and architectural decisions to ensure clarity, consistency, and traceability across projects.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with customers and key stakeholders and guide business units in the effective application of information technology best practices.

This is a full-time temporary role (until 31/07/2026) based at our Civic Centre. We support flexible working arrangements while ensuring operational needs of the role are met.

This is a Band 6 classified role. Remuneration will be $98,353.35 to $107,416.64 (pro-rata) depending on experience plus superannuation in accordance with the Superannuation Guarantee.

  • Strong proven experience in developing detailed technical documentation, including solution designs, system architecture, and integration specifications, and facilitating meetings to support documentation clarity and stakeholder alignment.
  • Have passion for organisational improvement, quality and customer service delivery across all aspects of
  • Manage the conflicting requirements of different stakeholders to produce positive outcomes and provide astute specialist engagement advice.
