The Coordinator Early Years Hubs works collaboratively with the Hubs Leadership team, to oversee and coordinate operational functions, including the implementation of effective systems, processes and practices. This role ensures service delivery is compliant with relevant legislative requirements, professional standards, Practice Assessment Frameworks and funding and service agreements.

The Coordinator provides leadership, guidance and support to teams, promoting a culture of continuous improvement through consultation, reflective practice and ongoing service review. A strong focus is placed on delivering inclusive, high quality early years services that achieve the best possible outcomes for children, families and the broader community. 

The role is responsible for upholding Council’s commitment and legal responsibilities in ensuring children are safe in our community and organisation through complying with, promoting and advocating for Child Safe practices. This includes the Council’s Child Safe Policy and Procedures, Victorian Child Safe Standards, Reportable Conduct Scheme and the Mandatory Reporting Scheme.

What you will need to thrive

  • A professional leader demonstrating positive work behaviours with a genuine commitment to embedding organisational values within teams, with demonstrated emotional intelligence, sound judgment and the ability to influence and deliver change management across a range of portfolios.
  • The ability to build collaboration and partnerships across diverse ranges of services and organisations.
  • A specialist knowledge of the early years’ service system with demonstrated experience in the delivery of programs using evidence-based and integrated service delivery principles within applicable legislative, policy, funding and service requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to oversee multi-site operations with a focus on operational excellence and financial sustainability.
  • Ability to design and lead operational projects on time and to high standards.
  • Excellent written communication skills with the ability to produce high quality reports and deliver professional presentations for various audiences.

This is a full-time position based at Knox City Council Civic Centre, Wantirna South, with a range of flexible work options for the right candidate.

Remuneration for this role will be Band 7 of the Knox City Council Enterprise Agreement plus 6K per annum over award with a salary range of $116,732.77 to $130,189.64 depending on experience, plus superannuation in accordance with the Superannuation Guarantee.
