About the role
We are currently recruiting for an enthusiastic Early Childhood Teacher to join the Sessional Kindergartens Services team on a part time temporary basis until January 2027(9 hours per week).
The successful applicant will possess appropriate qualifications, excellent communication skills, proven customer service skills, and a VIT Registration for Teachers.
The Early Childhood Teacher works collaboratively across the Hubs team to provide high quality early childhood education and care, meeting the individual needs and interests of children and families. In this role, you will plan, implement and evaluate a child-centred program aligned with the Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework and Early Years Learning Framework, creating a safe, stimulating and inclusive environment where children’s strengths, interests and cultural backgrounds are valued and nurtured.
As part of the broader Early Years team, you will build strong partnerships with families, colleagues and external services to support positive outcomes for children and their successful transition to school.
Our Sessional Kindergarten staff are employed under the Early Education Employees Agreement 2020 (‘EEEA 2020’) or its successor, which includes provision for term breaks in line with the Victorian School Term dates.
This is a EEEA Teacher Level 2.1 to 3.6 classified role, remuneration will be $77,998 to $116,906 (pro rata for part- time/fixed term) plus superannuation in accordance with the Superannuation Guarantee.
What you will bring to this role
The key selection criteria for this role are:
- Demonstrated ability to actively support the implementation and evaluation of an inclusive child-centred play-based program that support children’s strengths, interests and cultural background.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead a team to achieve high quality outcomes for children and families.
- Knowledge and understanding of the Education and Care Services National Law and the Education and Care Services National Regulations and all other relevant legislation and regulations applicable to the role.
- Demonstrated time management and computer skills including Microsoft Office.
