About the Opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and suitably qualified Early Years Support Officer to join our Integrated Early Years Hubs (IEYH) team in a full time administrative role.
Our Integrated Early Years Hubs consist of Long Day Care (child care), Kindergarten, Occasional Care, Maternal and Child Health, and playgroup on the one site. Our IEYH team works in genuine collaboration and partnership with families, each other, and non-council organisations to achieve the best possible outcomes for children and their families in the Knox Community.
As our new Early Years Support Officer you will make a difference daily by providing general administrative support across the Integrated Early Years Hubs and provide face to face customer service to the community and clients at our IEYH's.
Key responsibilities will include greeting and welcoming visitors to the service, responding to emails, answering phone calls, responding to customer queries, monitoring and processing accounts and payments, and maintaining and supporting the enrolment process for families and children. You will report to the Senior Team Leader and work collaboratively with the IEYH team as well as the wider Family and Children's Services team, facilitating success on a number of our key projects.
This is a permanent full time role and is based at one of our Integrated Early Years Hubs in Wantirna South or Bayswater.
This is a Band 4 classified role. Remuneration will be $66,447 - $70,878 per annum (pro rata).
In order to thrive in this position you will have:
- Demonstrated experience in developing and maintaining working relationships with a range of stakeholders.
- Experience and skills in administration and/or customer service.
- Knowledge of the broad issues impacting on the Family and Children’s services sector.
- Proficiency in a range of computer applications, operating systems, online databases and social media platforms.
- Demonstrated ability to be self-motivated, use initiative, and be able to work unsupervised.
- Demonstrated ability to priorities and organise own workload to meet deadlines and competing demands
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
