Your new role

We have an exciting opportunity to head up the Cultural Venues Team. The Team Leader Cultural Venues is responsible for effectively managing the venue operations, business administration, community engagement and programming of Knox Community Arts Centre and Ferntree Gully Community Arts Centre. Key responsibilities include; planning and delivering programs at both centres, managing partnerships and stakeholders, managing budgets, ensuring venue safety and compliance, contributing to service planning, overseeing staff supervision and supporting event and program delivery.

This is a Band 6 classified role. Remuneration will be $95,488.69 - $104,288.00 (depending on experience, pro-rata) plus superannuation in accordance with the Superannuation Guarantee.

This is a full-time permanent role based at Knox Community Arts Centre, Monday – Friday. Some nights and weekends are required.

What you will need to thrive

The key selection criteria for this role are:

  •  Experience in programming for a performing arts venue and visual arts venue;
  • Experience in venue management;
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
  • Proven administration and financial management skills;
  • Well-developed leadership skills.
