Your new role
We have an exciting opportunity for a theatre technician to join our Arts and Cultural Services team.
As our new Venue Technical and Operations Officer you will make a difference daily by ensuring the safe, effective and efficient delivery of high-quality technical theatre services and technical asset management at the Knox Community Arts Centre.
You will report directly to the Team Leader Cultural Venues and work collaboratively with the Arts and Cultural Services team.
This is a permanent part time role, 4 days per week, based at the Knox Community Arts Centre in Bayswater. This role is required to work onsite to ensure the operational needs of the role are met.
This is a Band 5 classified role. Annual remuneration is $78,036 to $90,793 pro-rata (for part time) for plus superannuation in accordance with the Superannuation Guarantee.
What you will need to Thrive
The key selection criteria for this role are:
- Experience in operations of theatre lighting;
- Experience in operations of live and recorded sound/audio production;
- Experience in overseeing technical and venue asset management;
- Capacity to navigate ticketing software, venue booking systems and other related venue processes and systems;
- Experience in rostering, supervising, training and guiding technical and venue staff;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
