About the role 

We’re seeking a Community Care Performance & Strategy Program Lead to join our team. In this role, you’ll play a key part in supporting the Community Access and Support team by managing contracts, risks, and budgets, overseeing procurement, ensuring Occupational Health & Safety (OH&S) standards, maintaining quality assurance, and making sure we meet all funding compliance requirements.

Key responsibilities will include coordinating and facilitating support for the business/data management system to assist integrated service delivery, ensuring regulatory compliance, and providing strategic planning. Additionally, you will coordinate, audit, and mitigate risks to the Council for effective delivery of contracts and service agreements under the Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP) suite of services provided by Knox City Council.

This is a full-time permanent role based at Knox Civic Centre. We support flexible working arrangements while ensuring operational needs of the role are met.

This is a Band 7 classified role. Remuneration will be $110,732.77 to $124,189.64 (depending on experience) plus superannuation in accordance with the Superannuation Guarantee. 

What you will bring to this role  

The key selection criteria for this role are: 

  • Sound knowledge of current trends and issues regarding our more vulnerable residents, CHSP, the Aged Care Quality Standards and the broader Aged Care Service System including the My Aged Care portal.
  • Awareness and understanding of implications of the Commonwealth Aged Care reforms.
  • Demonstrated project management, contract management, resource management and research skills.
  • Well-developed financial, audit, problem solving and analytical skill.
  • High level skills and experience in extracting and reporting on statistical data.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills, particularly in relation to the preparation of written reports.
  • Experience in implementing continuous improvement practices within a service delivery setting and utilisation of a wide range of information technology operated by Council and regulatory sectors.
  • Experience in working with contract or funding and service agreements and managing compliance of contracts/agreements.
