Salary: $73,349.33 to $78,124.95+ Super | Band 4 | Full-Time Permanent

Knox City Council is looking for a passionate and skilled Turf Tradesperson to join our Sportsfield Team. You’ll be based at our Knoxfield Operations Centre, working across our 68 Sports fields to keep them in top condition for the community to enjoy.

This is your chance to work outdoors, get hands-on with industry-grade equipment, and be part of a team that takes pride in every pitch, oval and field we maintain — all while enjoying a 9-day fortnight that gives you every second Monday off.


What You’ll Be Doing

  • Renovating and maintaining turf across Knox’s 68 Sportsfields
  • Operating and maintaining machinery including tractors, ride-on mowers, and turf implements
  • Applying chemicals and fertilisers safely and effectively
  • Supporting seasonal field preparation and ongoing improvements

What You’ll Bring

  • Certificate III or Diploma in Turf Management (completed or currently enrolled)
  • Experience in turf care and Sportsfield machinery
  • Familiarity with turf renovation tools like verti-drains, scarifiers, and spray units
  • Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office)
  • A great attitude, strong work ethic, and alignment with Knox’s community values
