About the role 

We have an exciting opportunity for a Coordinator Project Delivery to join our Engineering Services and Operations team.  

This role is responsible and accountable for the efficient and effective leadership and management of the Civil Project Delivery team and the Asset Preservation team.

The position is required to provide engineering support, assistance and coordination in the preparation, implementation and management of assigned engineering projects, programs and infrastructure services.
 
It is expected that the position would pursue strategic, technical and service excellence. This position is expected to demonstrate strong leadership, direction and people management competencies, with appropriate technical expertise, in order to drive the required business outcomes of this team. The Coordinator will incorporate the organisation’s values into all programs and activities and will work closely with the Senior Leadership Team to champion these values across the organisation.
 
This is a full-time permanent role based at Knox City Council's Civic Centre. We support flexible working arrangements while ensuring operational needs of the role are met.

This is a Band 8 classified role per the Knox City Council Enterprise Agreement No.11. Remuneration will be $129,171.45 to $134,153.51 (depending on experience) plus superannuation in accordance with the Superannuation Guarantee. 

What you will bring to this role  

The key selection criteria for this role are: 

  • Extensive knowledge of the Local Government environment and relevant legislation.
  • The ability to act as a role model and leader to create an environment where teams live Knox Council’s shared values and behaviours.
  • Excellent organisational skills and the capacity to effectively communicate with the team, other Council staff, and the local community.
  • An understanding of the political environment operating within local government.
  • The ability to analyse problems and make informed decisions on a day-to-day basis.
  • Expertise in contract management, civil design and project management across diverse client groups and asset categories.
  • Expertise in financial and budgetary skills.
  • A high degree of interpersonal skills and the ability to motivate and manage staff.
