About the role 

As the Health and Immunisation Administration Lead, you will work collaboratively across Council’s Health Services team, Immunisation Services and Environmental Health to deliver high-quality administrative and program support. You will provide exceptional customer service to both internal and external stakeholders, assist in the coordination and delivery of our immunisation programs, and support statutory health compliance functions.

In this role, you will act as a key contact for customer enquiries, provide expert guidance on health-related applications and services, support the maintenance and improvement of health service processes, and an administrator for Council's immunisation database system (Vitavo). Your work will ensure efficient operations across health and immunisation service delivery. The successful candidate will work alongside another employee to jointly fulfill the responsibilities of the role.

This is a permanent part time role based at Knox Civic Centre. The hours required for this position is Mondays 8.30am to 5.00pm and Tuesdays 10.30am to 7.00pm. We support flexible working arrangements while ensuring operational needs of the role are met.

This is a Band 5 classified role. Remuneration will be $80,377.95 to $93,517.76 (pro rata) (depending on experience) plus superannuation in accordance with the Superannuation Guarantee. 

What you will bring to this role  

The key selection criteria for this role are: 

  • Knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation (Food Act, Public Health & Wellbeing Act, Environment Protection Act, Tobacco Act, NHMRC Immunisation Schedule).
  • Demonstrated administrative experience in a health or local government setting.
  • Strong understanding of immunisation systems and processes, including experience with Vitavo or similar.
  • Proficiency with electronic records management, Infor Pathway, Microsoft Office, Outlook, and data systems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail.
  • Strong customer service orientation with the ability to manage confidential enquiries efficiently.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively, managing competing priorities and demonstrating initiative.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement and upholding Council values.
