About the role
Reporting to the Workplace Relations Lead, this role provides specialist advice on complex employee and industrial relations (ER/IR) matters across the organisation.
You will manage end-to-end cases including disciplinary matters, investigations, complaints, disputes and Enterprise Agreement (EA) interpretation. Applying a practical, solutions-focused approach, you will deliver fair, consistent and compliant outcomes, provide expert advice on complex interpersonal conflicts, workplace compliance and contractual matters, and contribute to building organisational capability through policy, projects and broader people initiatives.
This is a permanent part-time (15.2 hours per week) opportunity based at Knox Civic Centre. The role requires availability to work Tuesdays and Fridays. We support flexible working arrangements while ensuring operational needs of the role are met.
This is a Band 7 classified role. Remuneration will be $110,732.77 to $124,189.64 (depending on experience) (pro-rata for part time) plus superannuation in accordance with the Superannuation Guarantee.
What you will bring to this role
The key selection criteria for this role are:

Demonstrated experience managing complex end-to-end ER cases, including coaching and supporting managers to address issues and prevent recurrence.

Sound working knowledge of relevant workplace legislation and its practical application within a complex organisational environment.

Experience conducting complex investigations, and managing disciplinary processes and grievances.

Demonstrated ability to resolve employee, employer and union-related disputes.

Strong HR advisory experience, with a solid understanding of legislation, enterprise agreements/awards, and broader HR developments within a complex and multidisciplinary organisation.

Highly developed communication skills, with strong attention to detail and the ability to provide accurate, confidential and sensitive advice to senior stakeholders.
