About the role
As Head of Health, Safety and Wellbeing you will lead a high-performing multidisciplinary team and play a key role in driving strategic outcomes that protect our people and strengthen organisational capability. You’ll translate complex workplace health and safety requirements into practical, business-aligned solutions and partner with Senior Leaders to strengthen health, safety and wellbeing systems, ensure legislative compliance, and drive continuous improvement across the organisation.
This is a full time permanent role based at Knox Civic Centre in Wantirna South. We support flexible working arrangements while ensuring operational needs of the role are met.
This is a Band 8 classified role. Remuneration will be $129,171.45 to $145,030.21 (depending on experience) plus superannuation in accordance with the Superannuation Guarantee.
What you will bring to this role
The key selection criteria for this role are:
- Demonstrated leadership, leading health, safety and wellbeing in a complex organisation
- Strong knowledge of OHS and child safety legislation, compliance and governance frameworks
- Proven ability to influence senior leaders and embed safety into strategy and operations
- Experience using data and risk management to improve safety outcomes and culture
- Strong capability managing audits, regulators and complex incident investigations
- Sound business acumen, including planning, prioritisation and budget oversight
- You hold a relevant qualification in Health & Safety, HR, Risk, Psychology or a related field
