About the role
Knox City Council is currently recruiting for the Head of Enterprise Architecture to join our Chief Information Office. The Head of Enterprise Achitecture reports directly into the Chief Information Officer, with a team of three Solution Architects reporting into the role.
In this role you will be responsible for shaping Council’s technology future through the development, governance and continuous improvement of Council’s Enterprise Architecture strategy, frameworks, principles, standards and roadmap. Working closely with Executive, senior leaders and business stakeholders, you will provide strategic advice on technology strategy, emerging technologies, ICT initiatives and digital transformation opportunities that support organisational priorities and enhance service delivery.
In this role you will oversee the Enterprise Architecture work program, supporting effective governance, planning and delivery of technology initiatives across Council. Through strong stakeholder engagement, collaboration and knowledge sharing, the Enterprise Architect builds organisational capability, promotes best practice architecture principles and drives innovation, continuous improvement and customer-focused technology solutions.
This is a full-time permanent Senior Executive Officer (SEO) role based at Knox City Council Civic Centre in Wantirna South. Remuneration will be $180,000 to $200,000 base (depending on experience) (pro-rata for part time) plus superannuation in accordance with the Superannuation Guarantee.
We also support flexible working arrangements while ensuring operational needs of the role are met.
What you will bring to this role
- Demonstrated experience leading the development and governance of enterprise architecture strategies, frameworks, principles and roadmaps, ensuring alignment with organisational strategy, business priorities and digital transformation objectives.
- Proven ability to provide strategic advice and thought leadership to executives, senior leaders and stakeholders on enterprise architecture, emerging technologies, ICT strategy and complex digital transformation initiatives.
- Strong understanding of contemporary technology trends and emerging capabilities, including data, business intelligence, artificial intelligence and digital solutions, with the ability to identify opportunities that improve organisational capability, service delivery and business value.
- Demonstrated experience engaging with business stakeholders to understand current and future needs, translate business challenges into technology opportunities and support effective decision-making.
- Experience leading technology governance, planning and delivery practices, ensuring enterprise architecture initiatives and technology investments are effectively prioritised, coordinated and aligned with organisational objectives.
- Highly developed stakeholder management, communication and influencing skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships, navigate competing priorities and collaborate across a complex organisation.
- Demonstrated ability to build organisational capability through leadership, coaching and knowledge sharing, promoting consistent application of architecture principles, governance standards and industry best practice.
