About the role 

We have an exciting opportunity for a Reactive Maintenance Officer to join our Civil Maintenance Team.  

As our new Reactive Maintenance Officer, you will make a difference daily by providing general support across the team. Key responsibilities will include minor road, path and drainage maintenance works. You will report directly to the Works Project Officer and work collaboratively with various Council Teams facilitating success on a number of our key services we provide.  

This is a full-time permanent role based at Knox City Council’s Operations Centre in Knoxfield. We support flexible working arrangements while ensuring operational needs of the role are met.

This is a Band 3 classified role. Remuneration will be $71,147.02 to $75,750.73 (depending on experience) plus superannuation in accordance with the Superannuation Guarantee. 

What you will bring to this role  

The key selection criteria for this role are: 

  • Accountable for quality, quantity and timeliness of own work
  • The ability to work as part of a self–managed team ensuring safe work practices and methods are followed.
  • To be licensed to drive medium-heavy rigid vehicles with appropriate endorsements
  • The general ability to use current technology for work purposes.
  • Effective oral and written communication with various stakeholders
