About the role
This is an exciting opportunity to join our portfolio office business analysis team, driving the design and delivery of projects that will help the organisation achieve its strategic outcomes.
As a Business Analyst, you will build and maintain effective relationships with business stakeholders, delivering value to the organisation and benefit to the Knox community. You will be part of the Strategy and Transformation Team, reporting to the Portfolio Office Lead and work alongside Project Managers and business stakeholders to define and deliver solutions that will provide sustainable value to the organisation.
This is a full-time temporary role covering a maternity leave position for 12 months (from October 2026), based at Knox Civic Centre. We support flexible working arrangements while ensuring operational needs of the role are met. For this position, we are open to part-time candidates (0.8 FTE-4 days).
This is a Band 6 classified role. Remuneration will be $102,287 to $111,713 (depending on experience) (pro-rata for part time) plus superannuation in accordance with the Superannuation Guarantee.
What you will bring to this role
The key selection criteria for this role are:
- Well-developed ability to scope, plan and design business cases to support organisational needs.
- Well-developed ability to gather, validate business requirements for functional specifications.
- Well-developed ability to model processes and identify improvement opportunities.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate and to build positive relationships.
- Experience of operating as a business analyst on complex projects which involve both business and technology outcomes (for example organisation-wide system upgrades, or service improvement definition and delivery) would be an advantage.
