About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced technology leader to join Knox City Council as our Head of Data & Enterprise Solutions.
In this strategic leadership role, you will lead Council’s data, analytics and enterprise architecture functions, shaping how technology and information support organisational priorities, decision making and community outcomes. You will provide strategic advice on data, technology and architecture, drive innovation and digital transformation, and lead a high-performing team.
Working closely with the Chief Information Officer, Executive Leadership Team and business stakeholders, you will be a trusted advisor who translates organisational priorities into practical, data-driven and technology-enabled solutions.
This is a full-time permanent role based at Knox Civic Centre, Wantirna South. We support flexible working arrangements while ensuring operational needs of the role are met.
This is a SEO classified role. Remuneration will be $x to $x (depending on experience) (pro-rata for part time) plus superannuation in accordance with the Superannuation Guarantee.
Key responsibilities
- Lead Council’s data, analytics, information management and enterprise architecture functions.
- Develop and implement Council’s data strategy, governance frameworks and analytics capability.
- Provide strategic oversight of enterprise architecture, solution design, technology roadmaps and modernisation.
- Drive innovation, automation, AI and digital transformation opportunities that improve organisational outcomes.
- Lead, coach and develop a high-performing team while building strong partnerships across Council and with external providers.
What you will bring to this role
The key selection criteria for this role are:
- Significant experience leading data, analytics, business intelligence and/or enterprise architecture capabilities in a complex organisation.
- Demonstrated experience developing technology strategies, architecture frameworks and data governance practices.
- Strong strategic, commercial and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex technology and data concepts into practical outcomes.
- Highly developed leadership, communication, influencing and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Information Management, Business Information Systems or a related discipline, or equivalent extensive experience.
