About the role  
We have an exciting opportunity for a Grants Officer to join our Community Partnerships and Inclusion Team.  

As the Community Grants Officer, you will work collaboratively with the Community Partnerships Team to provide timely grant administrative support and advice to community groups and other key stakeholders. You will have experience in the operation of Smarty Grants or the ability to quickly learn new programs. You will be an excellent communicator, who enjoys working in a team environment. You will have sound time management skills and the ablity to prioritise competing tasks in order to meet deadlines.
 
This is a 0.64 EFT (24 hours per week) part-time, temporary role until 18 November 2025 based at our Civic Centre. We support flexible working arrangements while ensuring operational needs of the role are met.

This is a Band 5 classified role. Remuneration will be $78,036.84 to $90,793.94 (depending on experience) (pro-rata for part time) plus superannuation in accordance with the Superannuation Guarantee. 

What you will bring to this role  

The key selection criteria for this role are: 

  • Sound knowledge of administration requirements, Smarty Grants, other related systems and procedures.
  • Proficient in word processing, databases, document management systems with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Proven customer service skills and their application to external customers.
  • Familiarity and understanding of community organisations and contemporary grant making.
  • High level understanding of and commitment to Council’s corporate values, aspirations and goals.
  • Produce work within strict time limits, accurately and professionally.
  • Provide training in specialist areas, including Smart Grants system to relevant stakeholders including community groups.
