About the role 

You will efficiently and effectively coordinate the identification and reporting of high-risk hazards/failures within set timeframes to the Project Officer responsible for the maintenance, repair, and reactive measures related to that particular Council Asset, in accordance with Council’s Road Management Plan.

This is a full-time temporary role based at Council's Operations Centre, for an initial period of up to eight weeks.

This is a Band 5 classified role. Remuneration will be $80,377.95 to $93517.76 (pro-rata for part time), depending on experience, plus superannuation in accordance with the Superannuation Guarantee. 

What you will bring to this role  

The key selection criteria for this role are:

  • Demonstrated experience in the identification of civil infrastructure failures and hazards and undertaking stormwater pit inspections.
  • A sound understanding of asset maintenance and asset preservation techniques, programmed inspection techniques, and risk assessment and management.
  • Demonstrated experience in civil maintenance works and working in road reservations.
  • Experience in compliance of the Road Management Act, Road Management Plans and OH&S Act.
  • Significant knowledge of and demonstrated experience in the performance of civil infrastructure and experience in civil works/road construction is required.
  • Sound knowledge and experience in administration of civil maintenance works in the Municipal Engineering Sector, particularly in relation to traffic management
