Knox City Council are seeking a Coordinator of Financial Accounting to provide technical leadership to the team, function and organisation. Your role is to ensure your team provides timely and accurate reporting and outcomes to the business. You will operate as an SME and business partner to all stakeholders.
Working closely with the Manager Business and Financial Services and partnering with other senior leaders, this role will play a key part in building a first class finance function.
You will have successful leadership experience as a Financial Accountant with up to date knowledge of the latest Accounting standards.
You will be able to navigate leading a broad team and promote positive engagement to ensure exceptional service is provided to the wider business.
You can work on the ground in the detail and have the ability to take a step back and focus on strategy (delivering the figures, but also understand what is driving them).
Your collaborative and curious nature combined with your financial expertise makes you a trusted business partner.

- Strong interpersonal skills - demonstrated experience in a similar role in a dynamic organisation.
- Commitment to service excellence and innovation.
- Have, or be eligible for, CA/CPA Qualification.
- Excellent attention to detail and communication skills.
Knox City Council Civic Centre is in Wantirna South, however due to COVID-19 restrictions you will be supported in temporarily working from home.
- Annual Salary starting at $96,655.36 – $108,401.46
- 9.5% Superannuation
