About the Opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager to join our team.  As a personable and energetic project manager, you are ready for a change in working environment and a chance to work in a team which is passionate about supporting the growth and competitiveness of a resilient Knox business community. You will report to the Coordinator Economic Development and use your abundance of initiative to help us deliver business attraction opportunities and other major projects aimed at improving the economic prosperity of local businesses. This is a 3 day per week temporary role until the end of June 2022 and is based at our Civic Centre precinct. The role will see you out and about engaging and providing outstanding customer service to the business community. You will use your insights to help identify, develop and work collaboratively with others to implement economic development initiatives.

Remuneration for this role will be $87738.43 - $95823.56 (pro rata) plus 10% superannuation.

What you will need to thrive

In order to thrive in this role, you will have:

  • An understanding of contemporary economic development issues, principles and practices.
  • Demonstrated experience working with businesses and the private sector on projects or initiatives that support their growth and performance and in turn contribute to the emergence of a sustainable economy.
  • Ability to undertake complex projects involving negotiated outcomes achieved through the building of networks and relationships with strategic partners and project teams under minimum supervision.
  • Highly developed verbal and written communication skills, effective interpersonal skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
