About the role 

The Business Support Officer will provide a high level of business and administrative support to the Major Projects and Facilities team.  The position will work collaboratively across the organisation and will also be required to support the broader teams within the Infrastructure Directorate with projects, reports, financial processing, project management administration, business planning, and other administrative tasks as required.

This is a permanent full-time role based at Knox Civic Centre. We support flexible working while ensuring the operational needs of the role are met.

This is a Band 5 classified role in accordance with the Knox City Council Enterprise Agreement. Remuneration will be $80,377.95 to $93,517.76 gross per annumdepending on experience (pro-rata for part time), plus superannuation in accordance with the Superannuation Guarantee.

What you will bring to this role

The key selection criteria for this role are:

  • Experience and knowledge in business administration.
  • Understanding of financial management and project management practices.
  • Well-developed time management and organisation skills, including the ability to prioritise and perform multiple tasks effectively and efficiently.
  • Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to collate information and prepare statistics, reports and presentations.
