About the role 

We have an exciting temporary opportunity for a Youth Worker - Student to join our Knox Youth Services team, which will support you in your final year of a Youth Work Diploma or Bachelors.  

As our new Youth Worker - Student, you will make a difference daily by delivering a range of services to young people across the municipality.

Key responsibilities will include assisting with the Youth Services portfolio of service delivery including planning, implementation, activation and evaluation at the Youth Hive within the Knox library.

This is a part time temporary role based at Knox Civic Centre and the Knox Youth Hive. 

This is a Band 3 classified role. Remuneration will be $68,027.02 (pro-rata for part time) plus superannuation in accordance with the Superannuation Guarantee. 

What you will bring to this role  

The key selection criteria for this role are: 

  • Must be undertaking and making progress towards completion of a relevant tertiary qualification in Youth Work or similar.
  • A willingness and interest to engage in extensive service delivery.   
  • A strong interest in young people and the youth sector.
  • Good listening and communication skills.
  • Being curious and a strong desire to learn.
  • Competent computer skills.
