About the role 

Are you an experienced HR leader ready to make a strategic impact? We’re seeking a Senior People Experience Partner to join our team and play a pivotal role in delivering sophisticated, end-to-end people experience services across a variety of different services in a fast-paced and evolving environment.

Reporting directly to the Head of People Experience, you’ll lead two People Experience Partners and work closely with senior leaders to provide expert advice, drive change and ensure compliance. This is a dynamic role where you’ll combine strategic thinking with hands-on leadership to create a positive, high-performing workplace culture.

This is a full-time permanent Band 7 classified role based at the Knox Civic Centre.

What you’ll do

  • Partner with executive and senior leaders to provide strategic advice, coaching and workforce planning. 
  • Lead and mentor People Experience Partners to ensure consistent, high-quality advice and support.
  • Manage recruitment, capability building, change initiatives and employee relations matters. 
  • Provide expert guidance on legislation, enterprise agreements, and compliance requirements.
  • Provide sound advice on case management, legislative compliance and employment contracts. 
  • Analyse HR metrics and data to inform decision-making and improve workforce outcomes.
  • Drive process improvements and employee engagement initiatives that foster inclusion and growth.

What you’ll bring to the role

  • Strong leadership experience and a proven ability to inspire and guide teams.
  • Substantial senior HR partnering experience in a complex, multi-disciplinary organisation. 
  • Demonstrated expertise in coaching leaders, performance management and change leadership. 
  • Strong knowledge of employment legislation, enterprise agreements, awards and HR compliance. 
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and build trust. 
  • Experience in mentoring and leading professionals across complex issues and priorities. 
  • Sound business acumen and a proactive, consultative approach to problem solving. 
  • Strong stakeholder management with the ability to juggle competing priorities whilst maintaining high levels of professionalism and discretion. 
  • A relevant degree or diploma, or extensive equivalent experience in human resources.
